When
I first started the newsletter for the site, I'd initially decided it
should be monthly, however, I've changed my mind & decided that
bi-monthly wuld be better. (Besides, I don't have that much to talk
about and what i do you can find on the forums.)
Our first coding comp finished this month - the music & sound demo
one. We received one entry, you can find the details
here.
Our second comp which is a games coding one is now underway, I
announced it both on the forum and comp.sys.cbm, it will run for two
months and the details are
here.
This one seems to be generating more interest than the first. It
remains to be seen if it'll bring some coders out of the woodwork.
Discussions around an all new singing & dancing BBS for the C128
are still proceeding (albeit slowly). We have hammered out the bare
basics but need more people (developers and testers) to join the
movement. You can read the various posts
here.
There is a weekly online meeting about this project, see the news forum
for details.
Yesterday I did a bit of Googling for the site - comes up quite a few
times, including in non-English pages too! Nice to see that it's
appearing in the links section of some of the older Commodore sites.
Although I don't expect the site to perform like some of the C64 sites
out there, it's great to see that there is still a dedicated group of
128 users out there and that there is such a plethora of active topics.
I'm hoping to add an online hardware & software shop to the site
shortly - at present I'm currently evaluating stock items to make
available - if you produce hardware & would like to sell it via the
site,PM on the forums with details.
