I've been into amateur film-making since 1970 (the good, old days with Super 8, film splicers, and splicing tape and glue), and since 1979, my students have made movies as a class project. In the late 70's-early 80's, it was Super 8, then it was VHS-C/VHS, then it was Digital 8, and now it is hi-def DV.
Back in the mid to late 80's, the students would sometimes have my SX-64 in their movies (hey, there it is as the control console of their spaceship). Well, this year I've snuck the Commodore again into their movies! In "The Robbery", the Jersey Shore characters close out the movie by playing Decathlon on a brown C64. In "Solo te mueres una vez" (You Only Die Once), the film-noir detective has a Commodore Plus/4 box peering from the back seat of his car.
No more students until August,
