Hello.. Today  I went out Garbage Picking with my good friend.

The Very first item i run into is an old typewriter.. i didnt think much of it at first.. but iv been online for the past 2 hours and cant find Any information about it other then the guy who made them came to toronto to make them a few years.

Have i Found a historical item? This typewriter was found on the front lawn of a 98 year old man's home. 20 minutes after He allowed us hunt around in his garbage, and spotted the case right away. i opened it after the hunt.. i find this...

A Commodore, Toronto Canada, Tower Typewriter With a Serial Number : 224046221 serial is located underneath the typewriter, it looks like as if it was hammerd in 1 number at a type. I received a vintage pouch that seemed to originally come with the typewriter.. from the pouch i pulled out a round ACME case containing a ribbon inside, The bottom of the case ( When you pull OUT the ribbon from the case) it says " Container can be used for pins, clips, trinkets ect.. Bottom half makes Excellent coaster!  with a STAMP with "17 " on it. inside.. there was a ribbon inside, and on the black metal part of the ribbon it has 5 Pat. numbers which are.. Can. Pat.  1949 , svenskt pat. pend , Swiss +2b6b39 , uk. pat. 624116 , u.s. pat. 2486473..   if i flip the container upside down its says Machine  (43) ROYAL Colour Black inking    Burroughs Business Machines Ltd. Supplies Division 35 bertrand ave, p . o box 6 station H toronto 13 , canada.  oh and the typewriter light grey and grey.

Its in Excellent Condition, like unbelievable all original!

i have the original Operations and Service Manual for Universal Portable Typewriter. also still have original 2 small sheets of paper. and i also found an extra ribbon.

Please can someone tell me the Date of the typewriter when it was made?
Is it historic?
How many are like these?
How much can they auction off or Sell for?

Thank you for reading~! il be back tommorow to view comments, its been a long night im going to bed.

You are fortunate to get all those extras.

Ah, I have a Commodore mechanical adding machine that I guestimate is from the late 1950's or early 1960's, but I too have no way to determine the exact manufacture date of the product.
