GEOS 128 2.0 Version Manuals
« on: September 28, 2011, 02:28 AM »

Does someone know how many manual(s) originally came in the GEOS 128 2.0 software box?

If so, what are the title(s) of the manuals?

The German version published by Markt & Technik has two parts, one is the original GEOS 2.0 manual with 313 pages and then there's an 110-page addendum for GEOS 128 2.0. Both are in a combined white folder entitled 'GEOS 128 2.0'.

I have the boxed, U.S. version, and it too has the original GEOS 2.0 manual and the addendum for GEOS 128 2.0.  There is no white folder in this version; however, there is additional paperwork for QuantumLink and CBM service centers in the U.S..

Thanks for the reply maraud, RCtech, and RobertB.

So if I understand this correctly, the GEOS 128 2.0 software box came with the Commodore 64 GEOS 2.0 manual along with an addendum manual for the Commodore 128. See summary listing below. If this is incorrect, please feel free to comment, correct, or criticize.

English Language Manuals
(Titles taken from the title page.)
Both manuals written by Patricia Huey.
1.  GEOS 2.0 User's Manual (307 pages, printed 7/88)
2.  GEOS 128 2.0 User's Manual Addendum (106 pages, printed 11/88)

Hallo allemaal,

I only read this thread just minutes ago. I made a habbit of scanning most of my books which includes the German, Dutch and English version of GEOS 2.0. I also have the 128 addendum in English. I know Maurice Randall released GEOS for free. Does this include the books? If so, I'm willing to share the PDFs.

     I don't believe so, Ruud.

Hi Ruud:

I located PDF copies of the English language GEOS 2.0 manuals at "DLH's Commodore Archive" website under the heading of "Applications." However, pages 60 to 61 are missing from the GEOS 128 2.0 User's Manual Addendum. Could you post images of these two pages?

In addition to the above site, one can locate other PDF copies of these manuals at other websites.

To the best of my knowledge, Mr. Randall has not posted copies of the manuals. Hence my original inquiry.

I think it was just the User manual and other promotion papers is all, and I think Q-link stuff, but thats it.
