REAR ADMIRAL vs RAMLink compare speed
« on: August 19, 2011, 09:50 AM »
Hi!

I ordered and paid for REAR ADMIRAL SYSTEM...

My Q is only for my satisfaction while waiting the package...

How can compare speed of REAR ADMIRAL SYSTEM and RAMLink...?

I think that REAR ADMIRAL is very fast solution, but until I didn't knew about, my opinion was that fastest solution is RAMLink...

So, can anybody compare these speeds?

Many many thanks for everyhing about!

Oh, I've never thought about that.  You know, the general rule is that a solid state drive (RL) is faster than a mechanical drive (RA).

The old-fashioned means to test speed is to load and save various files, e.g., a small PRG file, then a large PRG file, a small SEQ file, and then a large SEQ file.  You'd time the speeds of loading and saving these various files.
